Are our Bicycles Safe?
Purchasing a bicycle - it is important to use reputable dealers who will ensure
the bicycle is in a roadworthy condition and the proper size. The balls of both feet should touch the
ground when the cyclist is seated on the saddle.
Too big or too small may cause you to lose control.
Every time you and your children go cycling, make sure all bicycles are in good
working order and there are no loose or broken parts. Always take the time to check that both brakes
and lights are working properly and that the reflectors are clean. Check tyres for air and tread, pinching
the tyres from the side to check the air pressure.
