1. Find a safe place to cross, then stop.

Pelican crossings, zebra crossings, puffin crossings, toucan crossings, traffic islands, footbridges, and subways are all safer places to cross the road.

There are also people who help us to cross the road. These include police officers, traffic wardens, and school crossing patrols.
